Build your therapy business, one practical step at a time

You care about your clients and the treatments you offer. But running the business around those treatments can leave you wondering where to start, what matters most and whether you are missing something important.

Perhaps you have plenty of ideas but struggle to turn them into action. Perhaps you have been practising for a while and know that some parts of your business need attention.

The Therapy Business Blueprint gives you a clear route through 11 practical business modules, with time to put each one into practice and regular help from the Therapy Business mentors.

You do not need to arrive with all the answers. That is what we will work on together.

Does this sound familiar?

You love being a therapist. You feel confident supporting your clients and know that the work you do can make a real difference.

But running the business side of your practice feels like an entirely different qualification, one nobody mentioned you might need.

✅ Am I charging enough, and do I understand my numbers?

✅ Is it clear who my treatments are for and why someone would choose me?

✅ Can people easily find the information they need and book?

✅ How do I keep in touch with people who are interested but not ready yet?

✅ What can I do to encourage clients to return and recommend me?

✅ Which business tasks should I tackle first?

It is easy to spend a lot of time being busy without feeling that you are moving forward. And when you work on your own, even a small problem can become the thing that holds everything else up.

We will help you understand what needs attention, choose practical actions and keep making progress.

A programme designed to help you put the learning to work

The Blueprint brings the learning, implementation activities and group support into one programme.

Across all 11 modules, you will examine the foundations of your business and work on the decisions and systems that support it: your purpose and message, pricing, online presence, email relationships, marketing, client experience, retention, reviews, reputation and professional responsibilities.

The aim is to help you make informed decisions about your own practice, with practical work you can use beyond the programme.
Your Implementation Tracker will help you record what you have done, gather evidence of progress and identify what needs to happen next.

How it works

1. Delivering the learning

Each module has a two-week block. We deliver the module live, through zoom and its recorded for you to watch back. You are then provided with an action plan so that you are clear about what needs to be done to achieve the results.

2. Put it into practice

You begin the activities. Bring your questions and obstacles to a Business Clinic so we can help you work through them.
Continue implementing, update your Tracker and use the clinic to discuss anything that still needs attention.

3.  A choice of daytime or evening sessions

You can attend either or both sessions. Tuesday, 9.30–11.00am & Wednesday, 7.30–9.00pm

4. Get support as you implement

Use Business Clinics & the community to help implement or when you need guidance, reassurance, feedback or a sounding board.

5. Decide what to focus on

Then we move to the next module. Across the programme, you will work through all 11 steps and their agreed activities.
The timetable gives you a steady rhythm. If you are ready to work ahead, you can bring those questions to a clinic too.

6. Review, adjust and keep moving

Your Implementation Tracker will help you record what you have done, gather evidence of progress and identify what needs to happen next..

What is included?

11 Pillars that make up the Therapy Business Blueprint

Over 6 months, we will cover:

Pillar 1: Building the foundations of your business

You know how to deliver your therapy, but building a business can leave you feeling all over the place. Together, we’ll work through the Who, What, When, Where and Why of your practice, helping you clarify who you want to support, what you offer and where you want your business to go. Think of it as finding the corners and edges of your business jigsaw, so you can see what you’re building.

Pillar 2: Knowing your numbers and pricing with confidence

Is your business paying you a wage, or are you putting more into it than you’re getting back? We’ll make sense of your costs, treatment prices and available working hours, including time for holidays. You’ll calculate how many clients you need and make informed pricing decisions, with a clearer understanding of what your business needs to earn.

Pillar 3: Understanding what your business needs in place

Have I done all I need to? If policies, paperwork and business requirements leave you unsure, we’ll help you work through a practical checklist. You’ll identify gaps, prepare relevant policies and procedures, and recognise where professional advice is needed. Clear arrangements help you run your practice with more confidence and explain to clients what they can expect.

Pillar 4: Helping clients find you online

Can someone find you online and quickly understand what you offer and how to book? We’ll review options such as a Google Business Profile, website, landing page or simple links page, and help you choose what suits your business. You’ll identify what needs attention and put agreed improvements into practice, making it easier for interested people to take the next step.

Pillar 5: Finding ways to bring in more clients

If bookings aren’t coming regularly, it can be hard to know where to put your marketing effort. We’ll explore practical ways to build your client base, including recommendations, local connections and activity beyond daily social media posts. You’ll choose approaches that suit you and create a manageable plan, so you can be more proactive about helping people discover your practice.

Pillar 6: Building relationships through your email list

Someone can be interested in your treatments without being ready to book straight away. An email list gives you a way to stay in touch, share useful information and help them get to know you. We’ll help you create a clear sign-up invitation and welcome email, then set up and test the process, so you can build relationships without relying on constant social media posting.

Pillar 7: Making the client journey clear and welcoming

They seemed interested, so why didn’t they book? Sometimes the next step simply isn’t clear. We’ll look at your client’s experience from their first enquiry through to their appointment, checking booking information, confirmations, reminders and payment arrangements. You’ll introduce practical improvements that make the process easier to follow and help clients feel informed and welcome.

Pillar 8: Helping clients return

Regular clients can make a real difference to how steady your business feels. We’ll explore appropriate follow-up, rebooking and ways to keep in touch, helping clients understand when another appointment may be useful. You’ll create a manageable process that supports ongoing relationships and respects each client’s needs, choices and budget.

Pillar 9: Asking for reviews with confidence

If asking for a review feels a bit awkward, you’re not alone. We’ll help you find words that feel comfortable, choose a suitable review platform and decide when to ask. You’ll understand the difference between reviews and testimonials, and learn how to use feedback responsibly, so prospective clients can hear about your work from people who have experienced it.

Pillar 10: Sharing your knowledge and becoming the go to therapist

You have knowledge that could help people understand their wellbeing and the support you offer. We’ll explore how to share it through useful articles, videos or local connections in a way that suits you. With practical examples to help you get started, you’ll create educational content or take a relevant visibility action that helps people get to know your approach.

Pillar 11: Choosing learning that helps you and your clients

With a clearer picture of your business, you can make more focused decisions about what to learn next. We’ll review your knowledge gaps, client needs and professional development requirements, then create a relevant CPD plan. You’ll choose a useful development activity and consider how to put the learning into practice, helping you become the best you can be for the clients you support.

Meet Your Mentor

  • Louise Phoenix Searles

    Founder & Mentor
I've worked in education and training since 1993 and founded Phoenix Holistic & Complementary Therapy Training in 2001. Over the years I have seen something repeatedly: therapists can leave their training wonderfully prepared to support their clients but far less prepared for everything involved in running the business around those treatments. I learned many of my own business lessons through trial, error and the occasional decision that turnd out to be spot on! My role as your Business Blueprint mentor is impart my knowwldge and hold you hand throughout. I won't pretend to have every answer, but I will help you work out what matters, ask the questions you may not have considered and, when necessary, point you towards someone who knows more than I do. For me, the best part is seeing the moment a therapist moves from “I haven't got a clue what I'm doing” to “Actually, I can do this.”

Your 'Put It Into Practice' Guarantee

I want you to make meaningful progress through the programme.

If you complete all 11 Blueprint steps and the agreed implementation activities, keep your Implementation Tracker up to date, but cannot evidence meaningful progress in at least six of the 11 business areas by the end of the programme, I will provide a further three months of implementation support at no additional charge.

This additional support includes one group clinic per week during the extension.

Meaningful progress is evidenced by practical action in your business. Examples might include revising your pricing using your costs, improving a landing page, introducing an email sign-up process or putting a review request process into use.

This is a guarantee of additional implementation support. Client bookings and income depend on factors beyond the programme and are not guaranteed.
